Chicken Style Burger with Crispy Slaw

    Ingredients

    • 1 tbs olive oil
    • 1 pack Vegie Delights™ Chicken Style Burgers
    • 4 wholemeal bread rolls
    • ½ cup baby spinach
    • 4 slices reduced-fat cheddar cheese of choice
    • ½ tbs aioli
    • ½ tbs sweet chilli sauce

    Slaw:

    • ½ cup sliced red cabbage
    • ½ cup sliced white cabbage
    • ½ cup sliced carrot
    • ½ cup sliced shallot
    • ½ cup coriander leaves
    • 1 long red chilli, deseeded and finely sliced (optional)

    Method

    1. Step 1

      Place all the ingredients for the slaw in a medium bowl and stir thoroughly. Put aside.
    2. Step 2

      Preheat frypan or BBQ plate to medium heat. Add oil and cook burgers 10-15 minutes, turning half way. Remove from heat. Add bread rolls to frypan and lightly toast.
    3. Step 3

      Assemble burgers. On the base of each roll, add spinach, Chicken Style Burger, cheese and sauces. Top with the slaw and add roll lid.
    4. Step 4

      Serve hot and enjoy.
