No sausage rolls

    From the team at 4 Ingredients, this recipe is a fabulous veggie smuggler. Add chopped onion, shallot or corn, grated carrot or zucchini, raisins and any number of fresh herbs.

    Ingredients

    • 2 cups baby spinach
    • 415g can Nutmeat, well chopped
    • ½ cup reduced salt BBQ sauce
    • 2 sheets puff pastry

    Method

    1. Step 1

      Preheat oven to 180C.
    2. Step 2

      Line a baking tray with baking paper.
    3. Step 3

      Into a large bowl, place spinach, Nutmeat and BBQ Sauce, season and stir to combine.
    4. Step 4

      Roll out both sheets of puff pastry. Cut in half lengthways.
    5. Step 5

      Place one-quarter of the mixture down the length of each strip and roll over itself so the filling is encased.
    6. Step 6

      Cut each into thirds and place (seam side down) onto the prepared tray.
    7. Step 7

      Season each with sea salt and cracked pepper.
    8. Step 8

      Bake for 25 minutes or until puffed and golden.

    Tips

    • Uncooked rolls can be frozen and baked in the oven from frozen when required
    • Sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired
