Nasi Kunyit

    Ingredients

    • 1 cup glutinous rice
    • 1 1/2 cups water
    • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
    • 1/4 cups lite coconut milk
    • 3/4 cup So Good Almond Unsweetened
    • 1/4 tsp salt
    • 4 pandan leaf
    • 1 tsp whole peppercorn

    Method

    1. Step 1

      Place the water, glutinous rice and turmeric powder in a stainless bowl and soak overnight.
    2. Step 2

      Prepare a steamer, and place either parchment paper or banana leaf if needed.
    3. Step 3

      Strain the turmeric rice, and place in the steamer.
    4. Step 4

      Add tied pandan leaves.
    5. Step 5

      Steam for 10 minutes.
    6. Step 6

      Mix the coconut milk, So Good Almond Unsweetened, salt, whole peppercorn then mix into the steaming rice, steam for another 20 minutes.
    7. Step 7

      Remove the pandan leaves and serve.
