Banana oat bars

Made with the goodness of oats and fruit, these are a great treat the whole family will love.

Ingredients

  • ⅔ cup wholemeal plain flour
  • ⅔ cup white plain flour
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • ⅓ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup sultanas
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • ¼ cup soy milk
  • 1 whole egg
  • 1 egg white

Method

  1. Step 1

    Preheat oven to 180ºC. Line a 20cm x 30cm lamington tin with baking paper.
  2. Step 2

    Mix together flours, oats, sugar, sultanas, baking powder and cinnamon.
  3. Step 3

    Beat banana, soy milk, egg and egg white and add to dry mixture. Mix well.
  4. Step 4

    Place in prepared tin and bake for 40 minutes or until cooked. Cool and cut into bars.
